The "little thing" turned out to be a big breakthrough in iron design: the Speed Pocket. The RocketBladez takes the technology of the RocketBladez and adds some advanced features of it own to introduce the next level of performance in TaylorMade irons. 
Technology First things first: the Speed Pocket. This is a 2 millimeter-wide slot in the soles of the 5-iron through AW. The slot is filled with a uniquely formulated polyurethane from 3M™ to dampen unwanted vibration while enhancing the flexibility of the face. The result is consistently accelerated ball speed, and with it, greater distance. TaylorMade has also refined its standard Inverted Cone Technology by giving it an improved shape. It works with the Speed Pocket to maximize speed and distance not only on center hits, but off-center ones as well. This is especially helpful to recreational players who tend to hit low on the face (which turns out to be the majority of them). The 5- through 7-irons in the RocketBladez steel irons set have a hollow-head construction; this is a design feature inspired by TaylorMade's metalwoods. These irons also have a precise perimeter-weighting system with visible tungsten weights in the toe. The weights strategically position the Center of Gravity in the center of the face to make finding the sweet spot easier.
